Actually went and had myself hypnotized today. I have felt "out of touch" I guess, ever since then. It was like being in a dream state, and when the hypnotist tried to count down to bring me out of hypnosis, I never did hear her say the number 1. I wanted to experience hypnosis because I am thinking of switching careers. The more I work in healthcare, the more I think it is wrong the way sick people are treated in this country. I think natural healing must be better than pill popping. But I need to heal myself before I try to help heal others.

My neighbor lied to me about of all things, a cat. Says this cat that has been hanging around my house, looking all sickly is not his. So me being the stupid do-gooder that I am took the poor cat to the vet. Turns out the cat has a microchip that says he belongs to Mr. Trashy neighbor. Vet says cat probably has ringworm, not mange like I thought. Guess I need to mind my own business and quit trying to help every poor creature, animal and human, that comes along. I was so mad about this lie I went to the health food store and talked to the "Jesus man" about something to help me from being so angry and negative. Bought a bottle of Goji juice from Tibet. It is called the "happy berry" juice. Also says might cure the cat from what ails it. And a bottle of 5HTP for calming my nerves. "Jesus man" says he has been mad enough lately about things that have been going on in his life that he might drink some berry juice also. He also recommended going out to a bar and drinking some margaritas. Which I did, but only one because I like to fight if I drink too much. Plus the fact that my old man got hit by a drunk driver last week and I had to have him be my designated driver put a stop to too much drinking Did some retail therapy at Old Navy. They marked everything down a lot today. Got two pairs of pants that were originally $30 each for only $7, and a pair of peacock feather design pajama pants for only $4. Nothing like a good deal to cheer a girl up. Also bought an andalusite rock with a cross in it today which is good for overcoming feelings of depression, anxiety and fears. Good for working in areas of danger and negativity also; Considering that I got beat on at work last week, it might serve me well to carry it at work in my pocket.

10/9/07 0 CommentsKitty cats
Went to animal shelter and volunteered for a few hours. Updated all the photos of kitties on petfinder.com. I always find at least three cats I would love to take home, but then I would be one of those crazy cat ladies. Worked with another volunteer today...a nice kid. It makes me so happy to meet teenagers that are so giving to their communities. All you hear about on the news is how out of control young people are nowadays. One of the ladies I work with is going to Vegas next week. I am so jealous. I will get back out there again eventually. Also got an email from Simon Scholes, a friend on this website. He did make it to America ok but I guess it was not his cup of tea, so to speak. I'll have to see if he has blogged here lately.

10/3/07 0 CommentsDavid Blaine
I bought David Blaine's book Mysterious Stranger at Hastings yesterday. It is very interesting. It talks about other magicians and tricks that they used to do, somethings I have seen CA do on Mindfreak, like bite the button off of a shirt and then put it back on the shirt. It also had a contest in it where you could win $100,000 if you could figure out the clues and find the treasure, but it ended in 2004. I wonder if I can find on his website if someone figured out the clues. Speaking of other magicians, I wanted to see what happened with Simon Scholes, I believe his names is, one of the Loyals on this site that used to Blog. His last blog was about coming to the US. I hope he made it ok.
