9/25/07 1 CommentDay Off
I just got so happy today, just cruising around and shopping. Oh joy, they are building a Steinmart in little old M'boro. And I discovered the new Ulta beauty store, and a huge new shoe store. And I got a Michael Kors snakeskin dress for only $20 at Marshalls. Of course I never go out and have no place to where it. And I'll need to buy a strapless bra to go with it...or just use some duct tape to hold up the girls. My old man was telling me he heard on the radio that Chris Cornell was coming back to Nashvegas in November, possibly to the Ryman Auditorium. I am in heaven. I love that man. Does it mean that I am shallow that I get so much happiness from shopping and material things? I hope not. Maybe my "attitude of gratitude" meditations are starting to work. I just felt so grateful to be living in such a nice little community. Now if only by some miracle I can get this coming Saturday off of work to go to the Bell Witch cave with some old friends for some traditional spooky, halloween time fun.

I am doing a program that is supposed to help change my negative thinking and negative living by 42 days. First day, you are supposed to have "an attitude of gratitude" for everything. Much harder that I thought it would be. I got my "Mindfreak" video in the mail today. Which I ordered way back in June by the way. Whoops. I am grateful that I received by video. I thought it was going to be the whole Broadway show, but it was a TV special. I enjoyed the parts of the Broadway show that were shown the most, so if the Vegas Cirque du Soleil show is somewhat the same, I am sure it will be great. JD had blonde hair in this video. It also showed Criss with a totally hairy chest for one scene, he must wax, ouch. I watched my other favorite Chris, Chris Cornell on the Tonight Show last night. He is so beautiful. His mother makes her living as an "intutive counselor" in Seattle. Her name is also Karen. I went to her website once. Maybe I should get a reading from her sometime, I feel so lost. I love listening to old Soundgarden CDs and listening to Cornell scream.

Went to Nashville Pagan Pride day yesterday. It was a beautiful day, weather wise. Watched the Wiccans perform a circle ritual. Bought a beautiful Botswana Agate bracelet and a crystal cut into a pentagram - kind of looks like the old Chrysler symbol - ha! My cat Sapphi just brought me a toy mouse, what a good kitty. Wish I could have spent more time with the Pagans and taken in a workshop or two, but had to go to work.

Had a reiki treatment today at counselor's office. It was so nice and peaceful. What a beautiful day it was today, sunny but not too hot. Enjoyed the cats at the animal shelter and taking their pictures for Petfinder.com. Walked a few puppies also. I wish I didn't like the pitt bulls for much. I probably will end up adopted one someday, against my better judgement. While I was at the animal shelter, someone called in and said they saw a mountain lion near their house and wanted to know if anyone at the animal shelter could come and pick it up? I really don't believe that there are any mountain lions in middle Tennessee. Got a good laugh about the phone call. I have been watching Montel Williams show this week from Vegas. If any one wants to enter the "trip to Vegas sweepstakes" the three secret words you need to enter at MontelShow.com are roulette, casino, showgirls. I bought a new tibetian crystal bracelet to wear when I am at work to protect me from all the negative energy we have there now. I'm willing to try anything to help. I saw a poster at the store about "Pagan Pride" day in Nashville this Saturday. Might check it out. Also thinking about learning hypnosis, if I can find the time and money. Peace be with you.
